If you're driven by social concerns and aspire to champion equity, Nipissing University's Social Welfare and Social Development program offers the perfect academic environment. As Canada's only program of its kind, our interdisciplinary curriculum examines systemic disparities and marginalized communities that face limited access to resources, opportunities, and influence. Graduates gain comprehensive insights into the roots and impacts of inequality across global, national, and community levels, along with the skills to develop solutions for enhancing societal welfare.
Degree candidates in Concurrent Education who fulfill their Nipissing Honours requirements, including specialized Concurrent Education coursework, by April's end will advance directly into the Bachelor of Education's final two professional years. All undergraduate honours degree courses and/or teachable subject prerequisites must be completed by May 1 of the intended BEd Year 5 transition year.
