The School Counselling specialization is available for both elementary and secondary education levels. Our thorough program equips M.Ed. candidates with the expertise and competencies needed for school counselling roles, as well as youth counselling in non-academic environments, focusing on individual and group therapy, advisory services, youth development, and evaluation.

Aligned with the University of British Columbia's research-driven mission, the Counselling Psychology Program generates, enhances, and rigorously analyzes knowledge in the field. This includes examining its reliability, practical applications, boundaries, and connections with other academic areas. By employing and refining innovative research approaches, the program utilizes both qualitative and quantitative data to identify impactful counselling strategies across educational, community, healthcare, and workplace contexts.
