The Learning Disabilities Concentration offers specialized courses focused on learning disabilities and broader special education topics. Students must also complete at least one ECPS course from outside the SPED discipline. As they near graduation, M.Ed. candidates collaborate with their advisor to create a field/inquiry project connecting academic theory with real-world application, either in their current workplace or an approved alternative setting. M.A. candidates undertake a research project culminating in a thesis. Both master's programs provide elective options to deepen students' knowledge of supporting learners with educational difficulties.
