Curriculum Studies encompasses a broad range of research areas, such as: educator preparation, how knowledge is socially formed, discussions around teaching methods and materials, and how curriculum changes impact K12 schools and alternative educational settings. Learners explore topics like program design and assessment, putting educational initiatives into practice, and training future educators. This interdisciplinary field incorporates diverse viewpoints including cultural analysis, historical awareness, poststructural thought, gender studies, diversity in education, sign systems, and critical social theory. The Centre for the Study of the Internationalization of Curriculum Studies engages scholars and advanced students worldwide who focus on curriculum frameworks.
One to two years’ of teacher education; or a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Education. In special circumstances teacher education may be waived for those applicants who have a university degree with sufficient standing and experience related to their proposed field of study.
