The Neuromechanical cluster brings together experts focused on exploring the interplay between neurological, cognitive, sensory, mechanical, and muscular systems in governing human movement and its adaptation to environmental factors. Their work encompasses investigations into both reflexive and intentional actions, neuromuscular coordination, sensory-motor processing and adjustment, physiological systems, movement mechanics, skill acquisition and elite performance, along with practical applications in rehabilitation and athletic training.

Qualification Requirements

The program is governed by the general requirements for the PhD degree as laid out by the Faculty of Graduate Studies policies and procedures. In addition to the Faculty of Graduate Studies' provisions, the School of Kinesiology normally requires a thesis-based master's degree in Human Kinetics, Physical Education, Kinesiology, or other related fields of study, with a minimum of 76% (B plus ) overall for admission.

All students must have an individual faculty member who agrees during the application process to serve as the student's supervisor.

IELTS - A minimum overall band score of 7.0 is required with a minimum score of 6.5 in each component.
