The study of health promotion and socio-behavioural sciences examines how individual behaviors, collective actions, organizational strategies, and community initiatives contribute to health improvement, disease prevention, and educated choices regarding health hazards. Our approach aligns with the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion principles, considering health as an affirmative state that serves as the basis for daily existence, encompassing both social/personal assets and physical abilities. These principles highlight mechanisms that empower individuals to gain greater influence over their wellbeing while emphasizing collaborative efforts and responsiveness to regional health priorities. This research-intensive curriculum aims to advance students' investigative competencies, preparing them for advanced academic pursuits or professional roles in research-oriented fields.
