The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides advanced degree programs (MEng, MSc, and PhD) for graduates from accredited institutions.
Graduate students in Electrical and Computer Engineering can collaborate with faculty advisors across twelve specialized research fields. While each student concentrates on a particular subject, much of the research spans multiple disciplines. This approach exposes students to various aspects of electrical and computer engineering as well as engineering physics. The department's twelve research specialties encompass: biomedical engineering; communication technologies; computer systems; control mechanisms; electromagnetic and microwave studies; power systems; integrated circuit design; micro/nanodevices; photonics and plasma research; signal/image analysis; software development and AI systems; and semiconductor electronics.
