The Department of Art and Design provides graduate education through doctoral and master's programs in art history, design, and visual culture, along with Master of Fine Arts degrees across various studio disciplines. Students can also pursue a Master of Arts in Art History, Design, and Visual Culture.
The Master of Design program focuses on advanced training in Visual Communication Design or Industrial Design. Meanwhile, the Master of Fine Arts program offers specialized study in Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, or DrawingIntermedia.
For those pursuing the MA or PhD in Art History, Design, and Visual Culture, the programs emphasize advanced research, with the MA offering both coursework and thesis options.
Studio-based graduate students receive dedicated workspaces and full access to necessary equipment for their creative projects. Resources include a comprehensive university library and a departmental visual resources center with digital archives and an extensive slide collection. Eighteen full-time faculty members offer guidance and mentorship.
An applicant must normally hold a degree in the History of Art (or its equivalent) from a recognized institution. Applicants with a bachelor's degree other than History of Art will be considered for admission provided that an adequate background in the History of Art can be demonstrated.

The online admission application system will be available starting October 1st and will have a DEADLINE for receipt of a complete application of January 15th for the subsequent academic year.
