The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences provides multidisciplinary methods for various educational and research topics. As one of Canada's most extensive and well-funded departments, it enjoys global recognition for pioneering research. Founded in 1995 through the merger of the Geology (1912) and Geography (1957) departments, EAS has expanded to include over 50 faculty members and more than 120 graduate students.
