The Honors in Mathematics program immerses you in the intrinsic elegance of mathematical concepts. This path is ideal if you're captivated by abstract thinking, rigorous reasoning, patterns, and pursuing mathematics purely for intellectual fulfillment. While many pure mathematicians work in academia and research centers, growing numbers are entering business fields like financial services and technology. The Bachelor of Science with Honors provides concentrated study in a chosen discipline for students passionate about scientific inquiry. Each curriculum includes a mandatory research thesis component and demands superior academic performance compared to a standard BSc Major. Participants may complement their studies with a minor from Arts, Native Studies, Business or Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences faculties, though this limits elective choices. The Honors track does not permit double majors.
