These systems span everyday devices, advanced robotics, instrumentation, large-scale telecommunications, data storage solutions, and beyond. Students acquire practical experience working with electrical systems that transmit, distribute, store, control, and utilize electromagnetic energy or digitally encoded information.
This program offers a Co-op (co-operative education) option, allowing students to undertake paid, supervised work placements during their studies. The Co-op experience provides valuable challenges, industry-relevant experience, and professional networking opportunities before graduation. The Faculty of Engineering ranks among Canada's premier engineering schools, boasting world-class faculty, cutting-edge laboratories, specialized research facilities, and innovative learning environments.
During their studies, students can engage in practical applications, research initiatives, and collaborative projects both in academic settings and beyond. Situated in western Canada's energy and resources hub, the university maintains strong industry ties and offers exceptional career placement prospects.
