Examining history helps us uncover the rich variety and intricacies of human civilization. Our Honours Bachelor of Arts program immerses you in historical discussions while working with primary sources, cultural artifacts, narratives, and digital archives that span from ancient cultures to recent times.
Hands-on learning experiences feature museum studies, curation workshops, internships, plus study abroad and domestic exchange opportunities.
This program is part of a shared first-year curriculum across 10 arts degrees.
After your first year, you can combine History with another discipline: Criminology, English, Philosophy, Politics and Governance, or Sociology through our double major options.

Qualification Requirements
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including the following program specific requirements.
Typically, a minimum overall average of 70% establishes eligibility for admission consideration; subject to competition individual programs may require higher prerequisite grades and/or higher overall averages:
A minimum grade of 70% or higher will be required in Grade 12 U English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
Applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma must present grades of 4 or higher in three Higher Level and three Standard Level subjects, including prerequisite subjects, and a total score of 28 or higher (bonus points will be accepted). IELTS - 6.5, TOEFL IBT - 92, Pearson Test of English (PTE) - 60
