Exploring literature – encompassing narratives, poetry, graphic novels, cinema, and digital media – brings to life our understanding of varied identities, cultures, and historical eras. Through this program, you'll gain opportunities for independent research, community initiatives, campus publications, and hands-on experiences in creative writing, digital literary creation, or arts-focused writing. You'll develop exceptional writing abilities, preparing you to contribute to cultural discourse and enhance communication across diverse mediums and fields.
This program is among 10 bachelor of arts degrees that begin with a shared foundational year.
After your first year, you can pursue double major combinations: English with History, or English with Philosophy.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including some program specific requirements.
English language requirements: IELTS: 6.5, TOEFL: 92-93 Internet-based, CAEL score of 70 and PTE score of 60, Cambridge English - 180 and above on C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency.
February 1 is the guaranteed consideration date for applications to all programs.
