As Canada's sole undergraduate program merging architecture, building science, and project management, it provides a pathway to CACB accreditation when paired with our Master of Architecture degree.
Gain hands-on experience in state-of-the-art fabrication labs with expert support, advanced digital modeling facilities, and personalized studio spaces. High-achieving students may qualify for the CEWIL-approved paid co-op program after their third year. Through immersive design studios and practical projects, you'll acquire the collaborative skills necessary to oversee construction projects from conception to completion.
During your final year, you can either customize your studies with elective courses or specialize in one of three focused tracks: Architecture, Building Science, or Project Management. The curriculum also includes liberal arts requirements and professional electives from across the university.
Specialization is optional and requires departmental consultation.
Our competitive co-op program offers exceptional third-year students 16 months of valuable industry experience in architecture, engineering, and construction. While placements aren't guaranteed, our dedicated staff provides extensive support in securing positions and career guidance. This opportunity allows students to earn income while gaining practical knowledge from AEC professionals in diverse work environments.
The program emphasizes a holistic approach to architectural science, combining theoretical coursework with practical studio applications. Students tackle real-world challenges in design, construction, management, and environmental sustainability through project-based learning.
The Architecture Concentration delves into contemporary design principles, teaching programming, presentation methods, research techniques, and architecture's societal role through interactive studios and seminars.
The Building Science Concentration provides advanced technical training in construction systems, performance assessment, and the creation of detailed technical drawings.
The Project Management Concentration focuses on the business aspects of construction, covering project planning, organizational strategies, and process control methodologies.
