Early Childhood Educators (ECE) guide young learners through their crucial developmental stage from infancy to age five. They create and deliver curriculum that nurtures cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. Canada currently faces a significant shortage of trained Early Childhood Educators. All graduates from our ECE program secure positions in the field within half a year of finishing, with numerous students receiving job offers directly from their practicum placements. Many begin as ECE Assistants while still enrolled in the program. Depending on immigration status, Stenberg's Basic certificate holders typically earn between $16-$23 per hour, while Post-Basic diploma graduates can anticipate $20-$30 hourly. Career opportunities include: For-profit and non-profit childcare facilities, Cooperative preschools, Independent nursery programs, Kindergarten classrooms, Inclusive early learning centers, Before/after school programs, Group childcare facilities, Home-based daycares, and Various child care services.
