This program equips graduates to meet the Entry to Practice Competencies and Standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Upon completion, graduates qualify to take the national licensing exam. Passing this exam grants them Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) status in Ontario, with the option for interprovincial registration across Canada.
Registered Practical Nurses serve in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and long-term care facilities. Their expertise spans multiple specialties like pediatric care, mental health services, surgical units, wound management, end-of-life care, and community health. RPNs find employment opportunities in hospitals, public health organizations, government sectors (including correctional facilities and military services), private companies, and global health organizations.
