The Hairstyling diploma program provides hands-on, theoretical, and experiential education to equip students for a rewarding career in the hairstyling field. Students develop expertise across all aspects of hairstyling, from cutting and styling to chemical treatments, hair extensions, plus career development and business management.
This accelerated diploma program allows students to complete a two-year curriculum in just 47 weeks, quickly launching their professional journeys.
Our instructors are seasoned experts with extensive experience in both hairstyling and education, with many being alumni of our program. They continuously enhance their skills to teach the latest techniques and trends, ensuring students stay ahead in this dynamic industry.
The program fulfills the 1,500 vocational training hours mandated by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development. Graduates can immediately begin apprenticeships (without exemption tests) and later qualify for the licensing exam to become certified Hairstylists in Ontario.
Students gain practical experience in our fully-equipped training salons: Transition Training Salon (Brockville) and Dynamic Designs (Kingston).
Training incorporates premium professional products from leading brands like Redken, Matrix, Pulp Riot, AG Hair, and Goldwell, along with Milano Spa Software for business operations.
Throughout the program, students connect with industry experts through guest lectures and real-world learning opportunities.
The curriculum includes three community salon placements where students refine essential industry skills. Most participants secure apprenticeship contracts directly from these placements.
Diploma graduates acquire comprehensive technical, foundational, and interpersonal skills crucial for thriving in this profession.
