This interdisciplinary field combines physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics to investigate Earth's composition, processes, geological history, and environmental systems. You'll explore captivating subjects like the formation of the Rocky Mountains, human impacts on hydrological cycles, dinosaur paleontology, climate change dynamics, and marine ecosystem evolution.
The department provides joint honors and advanced major options with biology, chemistry, computer science, and mathematics/statistics, along with an advanced major partnership with physics.
