The Master of Science in Actuarial Science provides comprehensive training in advanced actuarial concepts and methodologies. This curriculum blends core statistical training with practical applications in actuarial work, includes a capstone project applying or advancing actuarial methods, and offers optional co-op placements for professional experience and academic credit. Graduates are equipped for actuarial roles across various sectors including corporate, public, advisory, and academic institutions, while also building a strong foundation for potential doctoral studies.

Qualification Requirements

For admission to the Statistics or Actuarial Science M.Sc. program, the normal minimum requirements are

a Bachelor's degree
a CGPA of at least 3.0
letters from referees attesting to the ability of the applicant to undertake advanced quantitative work.

IELTS - The University minimum requirements for English proficiency is an overall band score of 7.0 of the academic (NOT general) test with a minimum of 6.5 in each section.
TOEFL - The University minimum requirement for the internet-based exam is a total score of 93, with a minimum score of 20 in each category. For the paper-based TOEFL test, the University normally requires a score of 580, with TWE 5. Pearson Academic (PTE) - Overall 65 minimum 60 in all of their sections.
