The Global Humanities MA Program offers an interdisciplinary approach, leveraging expertise from faculty across Arts and Social Sciences disciplines. Students can collaborate with the Global Humanities Graduate Program Committee (GPC) to design a customized study plan aligned with their academic interests and objectives.
Admitted candidates begin the program in fall, completing the degree within 24 months through a structured sequence of four courses and a thesis.
Global Humanities graduate students will produce a major thesis (60–80 pages) that: Integrates chapter-based sub-arguments to present a cohesive viewpoint on their selected subject. Shows proficiency in the specialized vocabulary relevant to their area of research.
Communicates discipline-specific concepts accessibly to general readers. Cultivates a distinct academic writing style. Demonstrates strong revision skills to build a logical and insightful argument. Utilizes current citation methods and research tools.
