The Physics Department's PhD program offers students the chance to engage in in-depth academic exploration leading to groundbreaking physics research. Participants will complete both structured coursework and an original research dissertation. Earning a physics doctorate equips graduates with the specialized knowledge required to establish autonomous research initiatives, whether in academic institutions, government agencies, or private sector organizations.
A master's degree in physics, or the equivalent, is required. Students who are in the MSc program in physics and have demonstrated strong academic and research performance may transfer to the doctoral program, with the approval of the student's supervisory committee.
