This program equips archaeology students with skills for either part-time or full-time careers in cultural resource management, the primary sector employing archaeologists across British Columbia. Through a combination of courses, including the Archaeology Field School, students gain hands-on expertise essential for cultural resource management or alternative career paths.

The program blends archaeology coursework with classes from First Nations Studies and Geography. Credits obtained can count toward an archaeology major or minor, as well as a bachelor's degree. Note that certificate credits cannot be transferred to another SFU certificate or diploma program.
