SFU's Music and Sound program explores the intersection of composition and music technology through interdisciplinary study. Students engage in electroacoustic composition within specialized labs, creating innovative works performed by professional artists. Graduates pursue diverse careers as composers, performers, or educators across musical styles.
Housed within the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology, this program forms part of the School for Contemporary Arts' performing and fine arts offerings. The Vancouver campus serves as the location for this unique educational experience.

Official International High school Transcripts required.Submit a transcript which includes grades for all courses completed and final grades for the first semester of Senior Year. Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior high school. International Baccalaureate IB Diploma is required. You must successfully complete the full IB Diploma, including at least 3 HL courses
Application to the Music & Sound program requires submitting a questionnaire and a portfolio of musical work. After applications are reviewed, a select group of prospective students will be contacted for an interview.

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic)- Overall score of 65, and a minimum score of 60 in the Communicative Skills, including: Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing
