Studying Sociology cultivates a unique perspective—a sociological imagination—that enables fresh insights into the world we inhabit.
Within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the Sociology program provides options for a major, minor, and five combined majors.
These fields share methodological approaches and theoretical interests: examining connections between factors like class, gender, ethnicity and criminal behavior; how society defines deviance; the legal system as a social construct; and the broader societal structures influencing social issues. This program caters to students passionate about these topics.
If you've completed, or are about to complete, your grade 12 or senior year in a Canadian, American, or international high school.
