Criminology examines crime through an interdisciplinary lens, analyzing it as both an individual and societal issue. This field investigates the roots of criminal behavior, its various manifestations, contributing factors, impacts, and how societies and governments respond. Ideal for those with broad academic interests, criminology helps cultivate analytical thinking and a critical perspective.
This program delves into the connections between criminology and psychology. Students considering or enrolled in the joint major should consult advisors from both departments.
The Psychology Department provides educational opportunities at undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduate options include BA and BA Honours degrees in Psychology, along with joint major, minor, and extended minor programs for students combining psychology with other fields.
