This program is tailored for graduates holding diplomas in Social Service Work, Social Service Work – Gerontology, Community Work, or similar qualifications. Eligible students from these backgrounds can directly enroll in the third year of this degree program without needing any preparatory courses. The curriculum spans four semesters and includes an internship component.
Collaborate with Sheridan's seasoned faculty and extensive network of community professionals. You'll investigate and develop solutions for real challenges presented by our community partners, receiving constructive feedback in return. Additionally, you'll gain hands-on experience through a four-month summer internship.
Career Pathways
Upon completing this program, graduates qualify for positions requiring a bachelor's degree in social services and meet registration criteria for the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
