This eight-month graduate certificate program provides hands-on training for careers in technical, scientific, and computer-based communication. Modern technical communicators are skilled professionals who produce technical documentation, build user support systems, craft websites, create corporate training programs, simplify technology concepts for end-users, produce multimedia content, and develop product support frameworks.
The curriculum teaches technical writing and editing, visual and web design, user experience principles, content strategy, and instructional design methods. The program equips students with adaptable skills for evolving technologies, preparing them for immediate professional employment. Students can enhance their learning through optional work placements with employers dedicated to supporting their educational objectives.
