This three-year advanced diploma equips you with comprehensive intervention, prevention, and treatment approaches to help children, adolescents, and families facing emotional, social, developmental, or mental health challenges. The program offers thorough training in behavioral theories, practical applications, and core knowledge of assessments, interventions, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and youth-focused activities.
Graduates meeting GPA criteria can access Seneca's internal pathway options, such as the Honours Bachelor of Child Development or Honours Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies. Additionally, you may qualify for Seneca's distinctive Honours Bachelor of Mental Health and Addiction program—a two-year degree pathway (4 semesters plus a work term) following completion of summer bridging courses, including:
MHB399: Advanced Studies in Community Mental Health
MHB499: Health and Community Psychology
MHB799: Trauma Methods and Practices in Community Mental Health
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or a mature applicant
English: Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent course
