This program focuses on building expertise across various textile techniques. Students will explore multiple disciplines such as weaving, felting, dyeing, screen printing, and pattern creation. The curriculum fosters innovative thinking through practical studio work, empowering students to become skilled textile artists. Artist in Residence Naomi Bourque presented her textile exhibition Medicine Harvest at Toronto's Indigenous Fashion Arts Festival last June. Qualification Requirements

In addition to meeting the general entrance requirements for admission to Selkirk College, an applicant must meet the following Textile Arts Program entrance requirements:

  • English at a grade 12 level with a minimum of 60%.
  • Students whose first language is not English must fulfill the college‚Äôs English language proficiency requirement.
  • Submit a completed admission application form and other required documents (i.e., secondary school and any post-secondary transcripts) to the Admissions Office.
