Engineers are innovative problem-solvers who utilize scientific and mathematical principles to shape our modern world. They create and refine the technologies and systems we rely on daily. Pursuing engineering offers a rewarding career trajectory with excellent compensation and fulfilling professional opportunities.

Our first-year Engineering Transfer (Applied Science) program teaches you how to leave your imprint on physical infrastructure. Beginning your academic journey here provides comprehensive training in mathematics and physics, establishing a robust base for the subsequent three years of your degree.

Completing this certificate program enables credit transfer toward engineering degrees at institutions like UBC, UBC Okanagan, SFU, UVic, or the University of Alberta. Those maintaining a minimum 2.7 GPA and finishing the program within two semesters qualify for guaranteed admission to UBC Okanagan's Engineering program. These candidates will also be evaluated for UBC Vancouver admission under equivalent conditions as direct applicants.
