The Forensic Sciences Certificate acknowledges students who complete a specialized curriculum introducing them to key aspects of applying scientific principles within legal contexts. Students advance through the program together, gaining knowledge from both academic researchers and practicing professionals to understand the scientific foundations of evidence analysis. This certificate serves as an enhancement to a Bachelor's degree (Major or Honours), pursued simultaneously with a student's primary field of study rather than as an independent program.
Beginning with essential first-year science coursework, the program consists of an 18-credit core curriculum covering fundamental forensic science concepts, plus 6 additional elective credits tailored to each student's major and their career aspirations in professional practice or advanced studies.
