The Psychology Department provides diverse courses and programs tailored to students with different backgrounds and interests in psychology. Students can pursue a Concentration area for General Bachelor of Science or Arts degrees, as well as Major and Honours options for both Bachelor of Science and Arts degrees. Additionally, the department offers Minor programs for Bachelor of Science, Arts, and Commerce degrees, along with Certificates in Human Resource Management and Forensic Psychology. Graduate programs include a Master of Science in Applied Psychology (Industrial/Organizational and Forensic Psychology) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Psychology bridges natural and social sciences, allowing students to major in either Bachelor of Science or Arts. Psychological Statistics (formerly PSYC 2350) (Group C) (PSYC 2020) is required for all 4000-level psychology courses for majors. Students with prior statistics coursework may consult the Psychology Advisor for equivalency assessments.
The department also offers Honours programs leading to Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Bachelor of Science (Honours), and a Certificate of Honours Standing (Honours Equivalency) under Academic Regulation 25.
Designed for high-achieving students, the Honours program prepares individuals for graduate studies in psychology or related fields, as well as careers in psychology.
