Develop skills to manage programs in nursing homes, long-term hospital care, adult day programs, retirement communities, and similar environments. You'll also master designing, promoting, implementing, and assessing impactful programs for residents in care facilities, hospitals, senior centers, and community-based services. The curriculum covers occupational safety, confidentiality protocols, and healthcare standards through written work, collaborative projects, presentations, and interactive lessons. Train for a role as a senior recreation specialist through hands-on learning. Study foundational concepts in class before gaining real-world experience during a practicum at a nearby care facility.
