The Department of Mathematics and Statistics boasts a distinguished faculty of internationally renowned researchers specializing in diverse mathematical disciplines. Their expertise spans pure mathematics (covering algebra, algebraic geometry, analysis, dynamical systems, number theory, and probability), mathematical physics, engineering applications (including control theory and information/communication theory), mathematical biology, along with both theoretical and applied statistics.
