The Juris Doctor-Master of Industrial Relations (JDMIR) is a unique 3.5-year dual degree program. Developed in collaboration with Queen's Faculty of Law, this program addresses the legal field's growing need for specialists in employment and labor law. As a Queen's University exclusive, the JDMIR stands as Canada's sole combined program that integrates advanced human resources management training with comprehensive legal education.
JDMIR students gain a competitive edge by bridging two disciplines. Through simultaneous completion of the MIR and JD programs, students not only broaden their knowledge but also transfer credits between degrees, shortening their study time and saving over $9,000 compared to pursuing both degrees independently.
