The Rehabilitation Science Program (RHBS) provides advanced research-oriented graduate studies culminating in MSc and PhD degrees. As one of five programs within the School of Rehabilitation Therapy, RHBS operates alongside two clinical graduate programs offering MScOT and MScPT degrees. Additionally, the Aging and Health program delivers a Graduate Diploma, MSc, and PhD, while the Rehabilitation and Health Leadership program features an applied DSc degree.
Rehabilitation Science involves the methodical examination of disability across personal, community, and societal contexts. Disability is understood through interconnected aspects including biological dysfunction, physical impairments, activity restrictions, environmental barriers, and participation challenges. The field emphasizes restorative techniques, adaptive strategies, and systemic changes to empower individuals in achieving fulfilling lives as active community members.
Applicants must have a completion of a research Master’s degree at a superior level in Rehabilitation Science or a related field.
English language requirements
For international students, if required, a TOEFL total score of at least 550 (paperbased) or TOEFL iBT minimum scores of: writing (24/30); speaking (22/30); reading (22/30); listening (20/30), for a total of 88/120. Applicants must have the minimum score in each test as well as the minimum overall score.
