The Queen's Law doctoral program spans four years of intensive academic research and writing, concluding with a dissertation defense. The university's Senate recently extended the program duration from three to four years. Our doctoral candidates pursue diverse research topics and are supported in employing multiple methodological approaches. These graduate students form an integral component of our dynamic academic environment: some lead law school courses and partner with professors on research initiatives. They actively contribute to faculty workshops, guest lectures, and seminars while engaging in scholarly discourse with peers and professors.
Students must have LLM or equivalent with a minimum A- average.
