Queen's Diploma and Bachelor of Education (Consecutive) programs equip high school and university graduates with the skills to become certified teachers through the Ontario College of Teachers. University participants obtain a second degree—a Bachelor of Education—while secondary school students can earn an Education Diploma through specialized programs like Aboriginal Teacher Education or Technological Education. This intensive 4-term program runs from May to August the following year, enabling Queen's graduates to enter the workforce sooner. The curriculum includes a concentration area, blending a Focus course, Educational Studies, and an Alternative Practicum. Applicants may choose specialized pathways such as Aboriginal Teacher Education, Artist in Community Education, Outdoor & Experiential Education, or Technological Education. Available for both Primary-Junior (K-6) and Intermediate-Senior (7-12) levels, the program features 20 weeks of placements, including a globally flexible Alternative Practicum that extends beyond traditional school settings. Travel Fellowships are available to support international education-related practicum experiences.
