The Concurrent Education program equips high school graduates with the skills to become certified teachers (B.Ed.). While students complete their Arts & Science coursework at either Queen's University or Trent University, these remain separate programs with no transfer options available. Please note that admissions to the Queen's-Trent program have been paused since the 2014-15 academic year. During their first year, students must choose between the Primary-Junior (JK to Grade 6) or Intermediate-Senior (Grades 7-12) specialization. Typically, the fourth year is dedicated entirely to finishing the B.A.(Hons), B.F.H., B.Mus., or B.Sc.(Hons) degree requirements. The program includes an eight-week teaching placement during the initial three years, followed by an 18-week combined school-based and alternative practicum in the final year.
