The field of mechatronics and manufacturing engineering focuses on intelligent, computer-controlled electromechanical systems, robotics, automation, and creating cutting-edge technologies and materials to enhance manufacturing processes and systems.
Mechanical Engineering master's programs enable students to explore all core aspects of mechanical engineering. These programs also offer three key specialization areas where students can concentrate on future-focused technical domains with strong industry demand: Design, Energy and Thermofluids Engineering, and Mechatronics and Manufacturing Engineering.
Students also have the option to study diverse elements across mechanical engineering's wide-ranging discipline. Subjects span from robotics, automation, and mechatronics to mechanics, controls, computer-aided design, thermofluids, and heat transfer. Mechanical engineering frequently intersects with fields like electrical, computer, and software engineering, offering graduate students chances to investigate these related areas.
The research-focused Master of Applied Science (MASc) program thoroughly prepares graduates for careers in research, development, advanced engineering, and/or teaching. The Master of Engineering (MEng) program aims to upgrade and broaden technical expertise, emphasizing coursework with potential major project components.
