The Mechanical Engineering PhD program aims to equip students for professional roles in research, industrial settings, government agencies, and/or academia. Program participants should develop the capability to perform autonomous research. This is accomplished via rigorous coursework, self-directed investigations, academic seminars, compulsory training sessions, scholarly publications, and a doctoral thesis.
