Train to become a Kinesiology Practitioner and acquire the skills to enhance and sustain the health, physical function, and general wellness of diverse groups.
This curriculum focuses on comprehending and safely implementing exercise for health preservation, enhancement, and recovery. You'll develop into a kinesiology professional capable of designing customized exercise regimens to boost or preserve health, mobility, and overall wellness for both healthy individuals and those with medical conditions.
In Ontario, kinesiology is now a licensed healthcare field. You'll acquire the expertise required to practice as a healthcare provider and qualify to take the registration exam for becoming a certified kinesiologist. Through coursework and practical experiences, you'll be equipped to complete theoretical and hands-on assessments for Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology certifications (including Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Exercise Physiologist).
Students begin in the general program but can select electives from both Health and Wellness and Exercise Science tracks, provided they meet prerequisite requirements.
