The evolving intricacies of health sciences and the healthcare sector have amplified the need for skilled professionals. This program adopts an interdisciplinary approach, integrating physiological, sociological, and epidemiological viewpoints on critical health concerns.
Two specialized tracks are available:
Human Health Science
This track covers essential scientific disciplines concerning human health and disease, including anatomy and physiology, disease processes, microbiology, and nervous system functions.
Public Health
Public Health examines community wellbeing across various scales—from local neighborhoods to global populations. The curriculum explores population health metrics, health disparities, factors affecting wellness and illness, health promotion tactics, disease prevention methods, health safeguards, and elements impacting healthcare delivery and utilization.

Qualification Requirements

Current Ontario secondary school students must complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six 4U or 4M credits including English (ENG4U) with a minimum grade of 60 per cent, Biology (SBI4U) and one of Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) or Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U). It is recommended that students interested in the Human Health Science specialization take Chemistry (SCH4U).

International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Overall score of 6.5 with no sub-score less than 6.0. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Internet-based test (iBT) with a total score of 83 and minimum scaled scores of Listening: 20, Reading: 20, Speaking: 19, and Writing: 20.
