The Bachelor of Computer Information Systems is a four-year undergraduate program offering a comprehensive curriculum spanning computing, mathematics, business, and communication disciplines. This prepares graduates for diverse careers in Information Technology. The program consists of core requirements (taken by all students), specialized tracks (focused study areas within computing), and electives. This flexible structure enables students to specialize in preferred computing domains like Software Design and Development, Database Systems, or General Studies while maintaining broad foundational knowledge. Graduates can pursue additional certifications from leading tech firms including Oracle, IBM, Cisco, or Microsoft through independent study. The BCIS program offers a co-op option, potentially extending the duration by one year or more. Students holding Okanagan College's CIS diploma, Network and Telecommunications Engineering Technology diploma, or equivalent qualifications may enter directly into third year, while others begin at first year.
