The 2D Animation specialization is part of the Digital Animation diploma curriculum. Students begin this focus area during their second semester of the first year. This program enhances expertise in life drawing, anatomical studies, structural illustration, and perspective techniques, which students then implement in their animation projects. Participants master the art of bringing digitally hand-drawn characters to life by applying core animation principles, enabling believable movement and emotional expression. The curriculum also covers creating visual effects and exploring innovative animation techniques.
By integrating these competencies and gaining insight into production workflows, students complete the program with a professional-grade animation portfolio.
Career prospects
Graduates qualify for entry-level roles including 2D animation assistant, design assistant, storyboard assistant, layout assistant, or background artist assistant.

Advanced standing To be considered, you must apply to and meet the admission requirements for the Digital Animation program. Advanced standing is based on academic credits (certificate/diploma/degree) completed from a recognized public institution within the past ten years that meet the academic requirements of the full first year of the program. Advanced standing is subject to seat availability.
Copy of board-attested or direct-issued Certificate issued by All India Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), All India Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education.
Copy of Statement of Marks/Mark Sheet for Grade 12. School-issued transcripts/records with marks are not acceptable.
