Gain expertise in repairing and maintaining electrical and electronic systems for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. This covers servicing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, inspecting, and testing all aircraft systems, including electrical power distribution, communications, navigation, data systems, autopilot, and instrumentation. Training includes safe handling of hand tools as well as specialized and advanced equipment. You'll learn from seasoned instructors while working in a hangar on diverse aircraft, from small and medium-sized planes to helicopters and components from larger aircraft.
Note that many employers in this field mandate an up-to-date criminal record check during hiring. Previous convictions may affect employment opportunities.
Attendance is monitored per Transport Canada's guidelines for Approved Training Organizations. Students exceeding 5% absence rate will not qualify for experience credits, ensuring high maintenance and flight safety standards.
