Further education possibilities
Electrician certification is mandatory in Nova Scotia. After securing employment, apprentices must register with the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency as outlined in the Apprenticeship and Trade Qualification Act.
Red Seal Certification - apprenticeship graduates qualify to take the inter-provincial examination. This nationally recognized credential enables certified tradespeople to work anywhere in Canada where the trade is recognized.
After completing the Electrical Construction and Industrial program, students can pursue the Electrical Technician program with just one additional year of study.
