Northern's two-year Paramedic program prepares you for an exciting career in emergency medical services. You'll develop the expertise to deliver critical care during emergencies and accidents.
The program emphasizes leadership development and effective communication, alongside foundational studies in physical conditioning, medical ethics, human biology, disease processes, and medication management. Through simulated emergency scenarios in a safe learning environment, you'll hone your response skills. A distinctive feature of Northern's program is having practicing paramedics operating from the same facility, allowing you to observe professionals at work.
As you progress toward becoming a paramedic, you'll first shadow ambulance crews before undertaking formal clinical placements.
