Graduates will emerge fully prepared to excel within interdisciplinary teams focused on infants and children through age 12. You'll gain the chance to foster learning and creativity, helping young learners smoothly adapt to formal schooling. Within an interactive group setting, you'll discover innovative approaches to support childhood development by working with their natural growth phases.
The Children's ECE Play Lab enables students to create, arrange, observe, and enhance early learning spaces. Collaborations with nearby early education centers offer distinctive hands-on experience with young children in a supervised setting.
Early Childhood Education - Distance Learning (A015)
Our online Early Childhood Education Program delivers complete virtual instruction. This synchronous distance program follows set class schedules each semester, requiring online attendance. Please note that all lab-based courses, placement preparation, and fieldwork/seminars have compulsory attendance and participation for successful completion.
Distance learners must have functional camera and microphone capabilities on their devices. This essential requirement facilitates active engagement with peers and coursework throughout the program.
While distance students may arrange placements within their local communities, all fieldwork occurs in-person at approved facilities.
Field placements typically occur during the program's final semester. Both on-campus and distance ECE programs demand significant commitment. The program coordinator is available to explore part-time enrollment options with interested students.
