Northern's Human Resources program prepares you for leadership positions in staffing, employee relations, performance management, and beyond.
The first year covers essential Business Fundamentals, while the second year specializes in acquiring, keeping, and inspiring top talent.
You'll explore the legal aspects of labor relations, human rights, and workplace safety. The curriculum teaches strategic hiring practices to meet organizational objectives and prepares you for collective bargaining negotiations.
Throughout the program, you'll refine your abilities in communication, IT, and influential techniques – even designing leadership-focused training initiatives that foster teamwork.
This program fulfills all nine core course requirements for the HRPA Ontario certification, the initial phase toward earning your CHRP designation. To qualify, graduates must achieve at least 65% in each HRPA-mandated course with a cumulative 70% average.
